New Elementare Single – Conjunctio

New Elementare Single – Conjunctio

It’s been a while since I have recorded any of my eurorack explorations, so I’m pleased today to share with you a new Elementare single! Conjunctio explores moments of assimilation and reintegration found within theurgic experience.

The term ‘conjunctio’ (also coniunctio, conjunction) refers to the stage of the alchemical process often referred to as the ‘sacred marriage’ or ‘chymical wedding’ of the king and queen, sun and moon. It is the moment of unity between body and spirit that brings about transformation and the cyclical nature of separation and conjunction that occurs throughout the alchemical process guides us through the sanctification of material form, as it is purified and brought into contact with higher planes of existence and divine being.

As with all my music, this track was recorded as a hardware-only live performance, primarily using a eurorack modular system, and presented with all its character and grit. The process of creating and rehearsing the track for recording has become a form of meditative practice in itself, an interesting and impactful example of the manner in which modern technology can assist with our spiritual pursuits.

The single can be downloaded gratis on Bandcamp and will be hitting all the major streaming services soon!

Hypnagogia Album Release

Hypnagogia Album Release

Today marks the release of my debut album Hypnagogia!

A minimalist psybient album created on a eurorack modular system, it explores concepts of isolation, contemplation and realisation through music that straddles the worlds of generative and performative composition.

The concept running throughout the album speaks to our eternal capacity for spiritual liberation and ability to find release from the involutionary forces that surround us.

You can find out more details about the album on a previous post here. The album is 48min long and contains six tracks:

  1. The Cave
  2. Turmoil of Materiality
  3. Astrosome
  4. Hypnagogia
  5. Eye of the Storm
  6. These Beautiful Lights

The album is now available on Bandcamp and on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify

All the tracks are released under a Creative Commons license, so feel free to use them with attribution in any projects, videos, streams as you wish.

Thank you for all your support!

Digital Mandala: These Beautiful Lights

Today’s update brings something a bit different, returning to the music that I’ve created and uploaded in the past. Previous tracks were created as a soundtrack for my novel When Winter Calls, with a side note tribute track to Philip K Dick, and it has been a while since I’ve uploaded anything along these lines.Continue Reading

Revolver (When Winter Calls ONS – Track VI)

I’ve found some time in an increasingly busy life to put together another track for the Original Novel Soundtrack tied into my novel When Winter Calls. This track continues my explorations into hardware production and particularly the eurorack modular format, whilst adding on the sampling capacity of an Elektron Digitakt and the editing capacity ofContinue Reading
